What does it mean to be raw, vulnerable and embrace the temporality, fragility and imperfections within the human condition?
Within my creative practice I am speaking to these questions. As individuals we endure multiple layers of growth, transitions, boundaries and patterns within the human experience. Whether psychologically, physically or spiritually these layers of experiences reflect our understanding of the world and how we choose to live in it. In my work I am embracing this vulnerability and emphasizing the fragile yet beautiful imperfections of the human condition.
My passion for clay parallels my curiosity and love for intricate patterns, memory, fragility, ornamentation and luminosity. I am a sculptor fascinated with all materials; especially porcelain, wood, metal and fabric.
